Shelby is an extremely pretty and feminine black masked fawn bitch. She has a lovely head with good wrinkle, excellent structure with a superb topline and fabulous rear angulation. Coupled with this, she has a nice outgoing personality.

Shelby is 60cm in height and weighs around 49kg. She is always on the move and loves nothing more than to run, jump and play rough. She is our resident "zoomie" queen - charging up to the fence, slamming on the brakes at the last moment, spinning around and taking off again.

Shelby's father is Aust. Ch. Laruscades Hugo (Imp UK). Her grandmother is multi Best in Show Aust. Grand Ch. Laruscades Tazz (Imp UK). Her uncle is multi Best in Group Aust. Ch. Moloscyg Obadiah. Her aunt is Neth. Ch. Laruscades Bibi. Her cousins are Int., Eur., Neth. Ch. JWW'02, ResWW'03, BISS Brandoux Toezzz and Int., Eur., Neth. Ch. JW03 Brandoux Calaix. When you look at it like this you realise this young lady is a member of one of the most successful Dogue families in the world!

Shelby was Baby Puppy of Breed at the 2005 Toowoomba Royal and Opposite Sex Puppy of Breed at Brisbane Royal in 2005. She also won the Intermediate Bitch Class at the 2007 Royal Canberra Show under Mr R. Scoggins (USA).

Shelby was chosen for us by Yvette at Moloscyg Kennels when she was a puppy specifically to compliment our stunning young male, multi Best in Group Aust. Grand Ch. Bordogue Benjamin. We would like to thank Chris and Yvette for releasing her from their own line-breeding program.

Yvette's choice was right, as Shelby's litter to Benjamin has produced some lovely puppies with superb structure and type. Her daughter, Aust. Ch. Bordogue Joelle, finished 2007 as the No. 1 Dogue de Bordeaux Puppy in Australia and 2008 as the No. 1 Australia-bred DDB and No. 2 DDB nationally(Dogzonline Pointscore). Joelle is a multi Class in Group winner and was Baby Puppy of Breed (from 8 baby puppies entered) at Toowoomba Royal in 2007 and Challenge Bitch and Reserve Best of Breed at Toowoomba Royal in 2008 at only 16 months.

Another daughter, Aust. Ch Bordogue Sian is the first Australian bred bitch to be awarded Best Exhibit in Group at all breeds level. Sian is also a multi class in Group winner and was Reserve Challenge Bitch at the Brisbane Royal in 2008 at age 20 months and Challenge Bitch at the 2009 Toowoomba Royal.

Shelby's son and another daughter are also multi Class in Group winners and four puppies from that litter finished in the Top 10 DDB puppies in Australia in 2007.

Shelby's second litter has produced our stunning young black mask male, Darius, and our pretty light red girl, Cher, both of whom now have their own pages.

Shelby is a girl who really lives up to her name. A few days after she arrived at 8 weeks old, I emailed Yvette and said we'd been hit by a "little blonde bombshell". Yvette's reply was very sympathetic - "better you than me". Hence, we couldn't go past "Blond Bombshell" for her registered name and Shelby for her call name.

You can't miss her explosive personality when she's around. The last two minor explosions saw one of my slippers shredded and one of the seats of the (recently re-covered) couch ripped to pieces. Oh well, I guess the couch will have to go back to the upholsterer again….LOL
